President Rumen Radev is on a two-day visit to Austria
Before flying to Austria, the president commented on current topics at Sofia Airport.
The head of state called on the Bulgarian government and the Ministry of Defense to take more care of the Bulgarian army and not the foreign ones.
“The course of the new government is to push Bulgaria ever closer to war. I do not consider it appropriate for politicians with modest electoral support to speak and undertake such heavy commitments on behalf of Bulgaria,” said President Rumen Radev.

According to him, the main duty of every government is to guarantee the security and tranquility of the Bulgarian citizens.
“The fact that the war is being fought several hundred kilometers from us should not reassure us, because the hostilities are escalating and apparently some politicians do not realize the depth of the problem,” the president added.
Regarding whether the cabinet is stable, he commented that everything was clear from the very beginning. “Several important things were missing – a coalition agreement, a management program. It will be very difficult for me to resolve these issues,” explained Radev.
“It is obvious that there is tension between me and the government,” the president also said.
