President Santokhi, die tested positive last week on the COVID-19 virus, is recovering well. On Sunday, the treating doctors determined that he no longer has any complaints and has recovered well.
Santokhi has strictly adhered to the medical protocols and prescriptions of the treating physicians for the past few days. Although he no longer has complaints, he has decided, in consultation with the doctors, to adhere to the national protocols and internationally indicated regulations regarding COVID-19.
The Surinamese president will therefore physically continue public meetings and activities from Wednesday next. For emergencies, this will be handled virtually as usual, reports the Suriname Communication Service (CDS).
