President Radev kicks the ball for the decrees. Will Kiril Vatev pay the Ukrainian aid by Monday? – 2024-04-19 08:44:22

The change of the Minister of Agriculture Kiril Vatev and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Stefan Dimitrov is not sure, it became clear after the meeting with the President Rumen Radev with acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev.

The two talked for about 40 minutes, after which Glavchev left, informing the journalists that he had no news to report.

For now, the main reason for the president’s reluctance to issue decrees is the candidacy of GERB deputy chairman Daniel Mitov for foreign minister. However, President Radev also expressed disagreement with the replacement of Kiril Vatev, who is not party-defined. Rumen Radev believes that it is not normal for Dimitar Glavchev to radically change his opinion about the Minister of Agriculture in three days.

Let’s recall that at the opening of the Agra exhibition in Plovdiv in February 2024, Deputy Prime Minister Iliana Yotova generously praised the management of the Plovdiv International Fair, insulted the Denkov office, recalling the insult to farmers that they were “terrorists”, and spoke flatteringly of Cyril’s intentions Votev to increase the market share of domestic production. She stated that the Presidency supports both the fair and the Minister of Agriculture in achieving their noble goals.

At the moment, the president is kicking the ball and may have set conditions for Glavchev, for which there will be no publicity.

Yesterday, PP MP Rosen Kosturkov suggested that Vatev’s release was actually requested so that the director of the DF “Agriculture” Georgi Tahov could leave the fund as the future Minister of Agriculture and stand there at the head of the desk for the distribution of the billions of agricultural, municipal , forest and sea subsidies man of GERB.

Let’s just recall that Georgi Tahov was appointed executive director of DF “Agriculture” at the time when he was managing Rumen Radev’s office.

So far, it seems that the president’s opposition to Daniel Mitov is greater than that for the release of Kiril Vatev. But this may be apparent. In fact, Mitov announced a few minutes ago that he was withdrawing his candidacy for foreign minister.

What next? We’ll see, maybe in the next few hours. Or days.

By the way, the final date for payment of the Ukrainian aid is April 22 (Monday). In the instructions, it was even written as the deadline for payment “by April 22nd”, which can be read before April 22nd. That is, up to and including today.

Will it turn out to be true that no funds have been earmarked for this long-awaited aid, especially since the tied support for fruit and vegetables has not yet been paid? Not to mention the depressed grain market and the upcoming costs of crop protection and harvesting. If there is no money, it will not be good both for the farmers and for Vatev, and certainly for Glavchev as well.
