President Rumen Radev did not veto the controversial amendment to the Law on Preschool and School Education, which prohibits the “propaganda of non-traditional sexual orientation within educational institutions.”

We remind you that more than 7,000 citizens and 76 non-governmental organizations submitted to the presidency a request to veto the amendments to the Law on preschool and school education.
Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Michael O’Flaherty also urged President Rumen Radev not to allow the changes to be made public.
Last week, MPs banned the promotion of “non-traditional sexual orientation” in schools.
