For the second time in his government address, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador provoked the reaction of the people to celebrate the arrival of Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo to the Presidency of the Republic on October 1.

“President, president, president!” In unison, the thousands of people gathered in the Zócalo of Mexico City chanted the same refrain.
During his sixth state of government address, the president did not miss an opportunity to congratulate his successor and criticize his opponents.
“How happy I am that the person who will take over is an exceptional woman who will continue the transformation! That’s why I laugh!”
He recalled that the “conservatives, hypocritically,” during the last electoral process promised even in blood that they would not eliminate social programs; but after their defeat, the leader of a party (of the PAN, Marko Cortés) accepted that they had made a mistake and that they were not in favor of these programs.
“Imagine what would have happened,” he said, as a scenario if the opposition had won. To which the people reacted again: “Noooooooo.” And then, again, thousands of voices shouted: “President, president, president!”
Thus, as he does in each of his speeches and in the morning press conferences, the head of the Executive asserted: “The people are a lot of people, the people are not stupid. They thought they were going to deceive, that they were going to manipulate and it was a “have at it so they can learn!”
