The supporters of President Petr Pavle were mildly concerned or even worried by his approximately two-centimeter laceration on his face when he arrived in Ostrožská Lhota in Slovácko. Journalists also noticed Ranka. Fortunately, it appeared to be nothing serious, but his media representative refused to comment on how the president came to be injured. For ŽivotvČesku.cz, the former spokesperson of the Castle and commentator and editor of the portal Jiří Ovčáček explained why the public will most likely not find out what happened to the head of state.

Upon arrival, hundreds of locals came to greet Pavle, the president shook hands with people, took pictures, signed autographs and even spoke briefly with some of them. After meeting with the representatives of the village, he took a short walk around the village.

As for his laceration – according to the portal Novinky.cz it’s nothing serious. Pavel should have treated him himself. When asked by the mentioned periodical what had happened to him, he answered rhetorically that »is unskillful and who is unskillful causes injury to himself«.

The president’s spokesman Vít Kolář refused to comment on the president’s injury, saying that Pavel used a handkerchief to treat it. Subsequently, with humorous exaggeration, he added that it happened »for cuts when shaving«.

Jiří Ovčáček explained to readers of the ŽivotvČesku.cz portal why the media representative refused to clarify the event. “If it is not a really serious injury, but perhaps just a small wound, we do not choose a comprehensive comment, we can even choose the option not to comment. The expression requires proportion to the situation and compliance with the court rules of the President of the Republic“, explained the former spokesman of the Castle and a top rhetorician.

On Wednesday morning, the president visited the site in Vlachovice-Vrbětice in the Zlín region, where two ammunition warehouses exploded in 2014. There he met with the mayors of the surrounding municipalities, the regional police director and representatives of the state enterprise Military Forests and Farms of the Czech Republic, which manages the area. For example, Pavel also had a tour of the production part of the Česká zbrojovka company in Uherské Brod in the Uherskohradišť region. At the same time, he ended his two-day visit to the Zlín region.

Let’s have a decent discussion. Discussion rules on the ŽivotvČesku.cz portal.
