Libreville, August 11, 2024 (AGP) – At the invitation of his Rwandan counterpart, the Transitional President, General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, went to Kigali this Sunday to attend the investiture ceremony of Paul Kagame, re-elected for a fourth term, reports a presidential press release received by the AGP.
This invitation from President Paul Kagame testifies to the strength of friendship and cooperation between Gabon and Rwanda.
For the Gabonese president, this is his second official visit, after last October as part of his visit within the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS).
According to some sources, the program includes a one-on-one meeting with the Rwandan president to discuss the transition process in Gabon, the security situation in Africa and other topics of common interest.
The Gabonese president will return to Libreville on Monday, August 12, where he will be accorded a warm welcome to complete his republican tour that began a few months earlier.
