The leader of UNITA stated today that his party will not give up on the process of dismissing the President of the Republic, with this political formation having “enough reasons” to do so
Adalberto Costa Júnior was speaking at the opening of the III Ordinary Meeting of the UNITA Political Commission, which is taking place in Luanda under the motto “UNITA – sustainability and growth for victory.
According to the politician, the impeachment process essentially aims to “save the democratic State from the collapse in which the country finds itself”.
The president of UNITA said that the party in power and its leader give ample evidence “that they don’t care about the people’s outcry”.
For Costa Júnior, Angolans are becoming poorer and excluded from a life of dignity every day.
He accused that the country and the world witnessed the “treacherous and manipulative stance of the government”, which intended to transform a national peace and reconciliation program, COVICOP, into an instrument of division and hatred among Angolans.
UNITA today began its 3rd Ordinary Meeting of the Political Commission, an event in which the 351 members of this party’s deliberative body participate, representing the 18 provinces, and from outside the country.
164 municipal secretaries were also present at the meeting, representing all municipalities across the country.
