“On the eve of the meeting of the European Council, we discussed its future decisions, which will contribute to the unity of the entire European community. I heard words of sincere support. We are even stronger when we are together – Ukraine and Poland.
I am convinced that with the new government of Poland we will speed up the resolution of all issues in our relations on a mutually beneficial basis,” said Vladimir Zelensky.
He noted that he had agreed with Tusk on a schedule of further contacts and invited him to visit Ukraine “at the earliest opportunity.”
The media have already reported that the Ukrainian side invited Tusk to visit Kyiv and is interested in this visit taking place as quickly as possible.
As you know, on December 13, the government of Donald Tusk took the oath of office at the presidential palace on Wednesday and officially started work. Almost immediately after, Tusk flew to Brussels to attend the EU summit.
On Thursday morning it may take place first meeting with Zelensky.
