Abu Dhabi, 14 October / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received today His Excellency Anthony Blinken, Secretary of State of the United States of America. During the meeting, they discussed the highest priority of ensuring full protection for civilians and preserving their lives, and the necessity of opening humanitarian corridors. Urgent delivery of medical and relief aid to the Gaza Strip, in addition to an immediate cessation of all forms of escalation.
The meeting – which took place at Al-Shati Palace – discussed the need to intensify regional and international diplomatic efforts and efforts to contain the situation and prevent the situation from worsening and the outbreak of more violence and crises in the region, in light of the developments in the situation and its dangerous repercussions.
The two sides discussed the importance of working to find a clear political horizon to ensure the achievement of a just and comprehensive peace that consolidates regional security and stability, stressing their common keenness to enhance stability and prosperity in the Middle East region.
During the meeting, His Highness the President and the US Secretary of State reviewed the relations of strategic cooperation and joint work between the two friendly countries and ways to develop them in various fields to serve their common interests.
