“We have the project to reform the jurisdiction of the labor procedural law that will benefit workers, the flagrante delicto bill, several projects that are on hold and that benefit the entire country. Let’s hope Congress speeds them up,” he demanded.
Along these lines, he made a special request to Congress to approve the Flagrancy law project, which will allow for more personnel (magistrates), as well as more crime laboratories, all in favor of the population. .
The highest judicial authority ruled out that the parliamentarians are going to use as retaliation the ruling of the First Constitutional Chamber of Lima that ordered the reinstatement of judges Aldo Vásquez and Inés Tello as full members of the plenary session of the National Board of Justice (JNJ).
“There is no confrontation between the Judiciary and Congress. What exists is a sentence that has been fulfilled. But this is not a policy of the Judiciary against Congress. Each judge is responsible for his sentences. A sentence cannot create a conflict of powers,” he clarified.
Regarding the decision of some judges and prosecutors who improperly release criminals, the highest judicial authority reiterated its request that they be disqualified in perpetuity.
In addition, he called on the presidents of the courts to appoint duly trained supernumerary judges and, if they rule in favor of the release of criminals, to remove them from their positions.
“We must set an example that crime cannot buy justice, and that the judge and prosecutor who act by opening the door to criminals must leave,” he said.
