Quito. The president of Ecuador, Guillermo Lasso, tested positive for covid-19 and will be working remotely, the office of the presidency said in a statement released this Saturday afternoon.
The General Secretariat of Communication of the Presidency said that the president was in good health and that he will remain isolated for four days, in accordance with medical recommendations.
“The president will continue to carry out his duties and will maintain activities electronically,” the note added.
