The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, held this Saturday a meeting with special guests from Africa, Turkey and Russia, ahead of the parliamentary elections on December 6, from the Simón Bolívar Room of the Miraflores Palace, in Caracas.
In this context, the hearings with the Venezuelan head of state will be held by South Africa, Kopeng Obed Bapela, Deputy Minister of Cooperation, Governance and Traditional Affairs, member of the African National Congress, head of delegation; Lindiwe Michelle Maseko, member of the Executive Committee of the African National Congress; Thulani Fakude, Coordinator of International Relations of the African National Congress.
Also Cristopher Mathlako, second vice president of the South African Communist Party (SACP) and Madala Masuku, member of the SACP.
For the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sylvere Isekombe Bosua, General Secretary of the Communist Party and for Tunisia, Mohamed Bouchniba, coordinator of the People’s Movement Party.
For Kenya, Booker Njesa, Chairman of the Communist Party; Glasby Marck, Secretary General of the All African People Revolutionary Party; Bernard Otieno Okoth and Japheth Kiplangat Mutai, members of the National Assembly Constitution Implementation Oversight Committee, and Mary Luka Lemerele, member of the National Assembly’s Justice and Legal Affairs Commission.
Also attending this meeting is Ahmed Laamraoui, general secretary of the Union of Moroccan Workers Union; as well as representatives of Turkey and Russia.
With a view to this electoral event, the country includes representatives from Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, the United States, France, Guatemala, Iran, Ireland, Paraguay, Romania, Togo and Turkey, acting as international observers.
The observers arrived in Venezuela to monitor the elections, in which more than 20 million citizens are registered to vote and elect the 277 parliamentarians who will make up the National Assembly for the period 2021-2026.
