President Luong Cuong meets Vietnamese community in Chile
On the evening of November 9 (local time), in the capital Santiago of Chile, President Luong Cuong and his delegation visited the Vietnamese Embassy and met with representatives of the Vietnamese community in Chile.

Speaking at the meeting, Vietnamese Ambassador to Chile Nguyen Viêt Cuong expressed his gratitude to the Party and the State for always paying attention to the life of representative agencies abroad, especially those in distant regions like Chile. Reporting to President Luong Cuong on the situation of the community, the diplomat said that although the Vietnamese community living and working in Chile was not numerous, they still knew how to promote the spirit of solidarity.
He pledged to make efforts to carry out foreign affairs, promote defense, economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, and build a united and cohesive representative agency, thereby contributing to promoting cooperative relations and of friendship between Vietnam and Chile.
President Luong Cuong praised and highly appreciated the efforts and achievements achieved by the embassy as well as the Vietnamese community in Chile in implementing the foreign policy and guidelines of the Party and State, thus contributing to to continue to develop Vietnam-Chile comprehensive cooperation relations.
Stressing that the Party and the State always care about and regard the overseas Vietnamese community as an inseparable part, a resource of the national community and an important factor contributing to strengthening the relations of cooperation and friendship between Vietnam and countries, the President proposed that the embassy should continue to promote its role as a bridge to promote and deepen the special relations between Vietnam and Chile.
The embassy must also continue to synchronously deploy political diplomacy, economic diplomacy, cultural diplomacy and community work, with priority given to promoting the role of advice, accompaniment and implementation support economic and commercial cooperation programs and projects between the two countries, he added.
The Head of State also expressed his hope that the embassy will quickly support the Vietnamese in the host country as well as in other burdened regions and that the Vietnamese community in Chile will always be united, maintain its close relations, maintain regular contacts and actively participates in activities to orient themselves towards the country of origin.
