BRASILIA, Dec 7 (Reuters) – President-elect Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, known as “Lula,” will visit the United States in January, three sources told Reuters on Wednesday.
Lula, who will officially take office on January 1, was invited on Monday by US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.
His visit was initially scheduled for December, but the busy schedule of the Brazilian presidency led the authorities to desist.
