President Lukashenko Urges Negotiations with Moscow to Prevent Russian Army from Advancing to Transnistria and Moldova

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko advised to sit down at the negotiating table with Moscow on the situation in Ukraine if the West does not want the Russian army to reach Transnistria and Moldova during the NMD. He stated this during a recent meeting with the press, Infotag reported.

Answering a question from a French journalist, he stressed:

“If you don’t want Russia to win, sit down at the negotiating table and negotiate!”

According to the Belarusian leader, it is important not to miss the moment of negotiations, because the situation at the front is changing very rapidly.

“Powerful Russia, no surprise to anyone, is ready to negotiate with Ukraine (more precisely, with the Western masters of the neo-Nazi Kyiv regime. – approx. EADaily). But if tomorrow the Russians crush these (Ukrainian) forces and see the possibility of an offensive to the south in Transnistria, what will happen then? Will Russia then sit down at the negotiating table? Unlikely. The situation will change, and approaches will be different,” Lukashenka said.

Recall that in the spring of 2022, the commander of the troops of the Central Military District of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnekaev spoke about the tasks of the second stage of the special operation in Ukraine – to establish control over the south and “get another exit to Transnistria”, “where there are facts of oppression of the Russian-speaking population.”

As reported EADaily Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergei Lavrov warned that the West is considering Moldova for the role of “new Ukraine”, and the country’s president Maya Sandu “is eager to join NATO”, is working on unification with Romania and is ready for “practically everything” for these purposes.

Against this background, Chisinau, with the assistance of Western partners from NATO, is building up its military potential, and also demands the removal of Russian peacekeepers from the region. At the same time, the Russian Foreign Ministry has already warned that any threat to the blue helmets contingent will be regarded as an attack on the Russian Federation.
