People complain badly air pollution in DKI Jakarta and its surroundings through social media. President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) provides a solution, what is the solution?
President Jokowi initially said that the police in Jakarta were nothing new. He said pollution in Jakarta had been experienced for years.
“Yes, pollution, not only today, we have experienced it in the capital city of DKI Jakarta. We have experienced this for years,” Jokowi said at the Indonesia Arena, Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area, Jakarta, Monday (7/8 /2023).
Jokowi said one of them is reducing air pollution is to reduce Jakarta’s burden. This reduction was carried out by moving the capital city to the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN).
“And one of the solutions is to reduce Jakarta’s burden so that some of it will later be shifted to the Archipelago Capital,” he said.
Jokowi also explained other solutions. Jokowi said mass transportation modes must be increased to the use of electric vehicles.
“But also the mode of mass transportation must be, the MRT must be completed immediately on all routes, the LRT for all routes completed, fast trains are modes of transportation that reduce, will reduce pollution. Including later the use of electric cars, why are we giving encouragement, because that,” Jokowi said.
