President Jokowi Visits Culinary Tourism Area in Kampung Ujung, Labuan Bajo During ASEAN Summit

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) visited the culinary tourism area of ​​Kampung Ujung, Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). Jokowi walked along the street while greeting the stall traders selling various seafood.

On this occasion, Jokowi also gave red aprons to the traders. One of the sellers, Nurhayati, said she was happy with Jokowi’s presence at her stall.

“He (Jokowi) asked how much one serving was, I answered Rp. 100,000,” said Nurhayati, in an official statement from the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat, Sunday (7/5/2023).



Nurhayati said that her kiosk was increasingly visited by buyers after Labuan Bajo was designated as the location for the 42nd ASEAN Summit. Nurhayati also said she was grateful.

“There are a lot of people. I am also happy to be celebrated here at the ASEAN Summit,” he said.

In line with Apri, the seller of fried rice on this culinary tour also expressed his gratitude for the increasing number of buyers. The kiosk, he said, is also getting more advanced and more and more visited.

“After this summit, sales continued to progress, and it kept getting busier with outsiders coming here. I am very grateful for this ASEAN Summit,” said Apri.
