The three names of presidential candidates are Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo, General Chair of the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto, and General Chair of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto. The four names for vice presidential candidates are Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud Md, President’s Chief of Staff Moeldoko, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Arsyad Rasyid, and Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahudin Uno.

Deddy stated that it was Ganjar who was most likely to continue and perfect all of Jokowi’s unfinished programs. The reason is, both Ganjar and President Jokowi were brought up from the same ideological home, namely the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP).

He said Ganjar and Jokowi were both Bung Karno’s ideological children. The two figures, said Deddy, are used to implementing partiality towards the underprivileged and fully understand the Trisakti, namely political sovereignty, economic sovereignty, and cultural sovereignty.
