President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) led the TNI’s 78th anniversary ceremony at the National Monument (Monas), Central Jakarta, today. Jokowi climbed aboard a tank to check on the troops.
Monitoring detikcom at the location, Thursday (5/10/2023), Jokowi was seen wearing a black suit. He rode a BMP-3F tank which is a type of amphibious tank.
Jokowi was seen accompanied by TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono. They went around checking the readiness of the ceremonial troops.
Apart from Jokowi, a number of figures and officials were also present at the TNI’s 78th anniversary ceremony. The 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia Megawati Soekarnoputri, the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, the 10th and 12th Vice Presidents, Jusuf Kalla, and the 11th Vice President Boediono were seen.
Indonesian Vice President Ma’ruf Amin and Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto were also present.
