President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) laid the first stone or groundbreaking for the BSH Hub Community project in Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN). Jokowi appreciated BSH for investing in IKN.
“I am happy and welcome that this morning the foundation stone for the BSH Hub Community, which invests in IKN, will be laid,” said Jokowi as seen on the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube, Thursday (21/12/2023).
Jokowi said that taxes would be waived for all SMEs that invest in IKN. This aims to make it easier for entrepreneurs who want to invest in IKN.
“But ladies and gentlemen need to know that for SMEs that invest in IKN, the PPH, PPN and PPH of their employees will indeed be freed to provide an economic trigger for SMEs that want to invest in IKN,” he said.
Jokowi also appreciated the construction of the BSH Hub Community which includes a three-star hotel and restaurant. Jokowi hopes that the construction of this hotel and restaurant can be completed before July 2024.
“And I really appreciate the construction of a 3-star hotel by BSH, and also a restaurant because there are no three-star hotels, and there are no restaurants either, so I really see this opportunity being taken by BSH,” said Jokowi.
“And I really hope that what Mr. Haryadi said earlier, that before July, the hotel and restaurant will be ready and finished so that we can enjoy it together. I really appreciate that super fast work,” he continued.
At the end of his speech, Jokowi rang the bell with the minister and BSH. The bell rang as a sign that this project was inaugurated.
“By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim the construction of the BSH Hub Community this morning I declare that it has begun. Thank you,” concluded Jokowi.
