President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Minister of Finance (Minister of Finance) Sri Mulyani tempt the Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Makarim. Nadiem was teased because he was on the wrong podium.
That moment occurred in the Peak Event of the Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP) Festival 2023 in Kota Kasablanka, Thursday (3/8/2023). The incident on the wrong podium occurred when Nadiem was asked to give a speech.
Nadiem who came forward immediately stood on the podium in the middle of the stage. But the protocol then asked him to move to the stage to the right.

After Nadiem finished giving his speech, it was Sri Mulyani’s turn to take the stage. Sri Mulyani without hesitation went straight to the right side of the podium. He then teased Nadiem who was on the wrong podium.
“If I already knew, sir, the podium is here, it shouldn’t be there. Pak Nadiem often needs to be educated,” said Sri Mulyani jokingly, which was immediately greeted by laughter from the audience.
Then it’s Jokowi’s turn. Jokowi then explained why there were two podiums on the stage. It started from pandemic COVID-1.
“Just now I nothing again this podium business, you know. This started because of the COVID incident, so that during the (pandemic) COVID there used to be 3 podiums, one there, one here, one there,” said Jokowi.
Jokowi was surprised that until now two podiums are still provided every time he attends an event. Even though the COVID-19 pandemic is gone.
Jokowi then teased Nadiem. He said he would not be angry even if Nadiem used his podium.
“Now that there is no COVID, why are there still two for what? you know. Earlier, Pak Nadiem was actually here, I wasn’t angry. But the Minister of Education himself is afraid. Here ajapushed there don’t want ‘I want here’ you know,” he said, laughing.
Jokowi also asked that only one podium be provided next.
“Wong podium business. No, after this podium one ajadon’t be here like discriminatory you know,” Jokowi said to applause.
