President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) opened his voice about the salaries of State Capital Authority workers (IKN) Archipelago that has not been paid for months.
“In my desk, I signed it at the same time, but indeed we are making a presidential regulation, calculating allowances requires inter-ministerial consolidation,” said Jokowi at the Samesta Mahata Margonda Apartment, Depok, West Java, Thursday (13/4).
“But the most important thing is that the rights are not lost and accelerated, we just talked about it yesterday,” said Jokowi.
The arrears of this salary were initially conveyed by the Head of the National Capital Authority (IKN) Nusantara, Bambang Susantono. He confided that echelon I officials and below who work at the IKN Authority have not received a salary for months.
Bambang said that his party was still waiting for a presidential regulation (perpres) regarding financial rights and other facilities for echelon I and below. He conveyed this during a hearing (RDP) with Commission II of the DPR, last Monday (3/4).
The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD admitted that the Perpres which is the basis for the salary of the Nusantara IKN Authority employees has been decided and is still being processed. He said the implementation of the regulation was only a matter of time.
“It’s done, it’s been decided. It’s finished, it’s just a process,” Mahfud said at the Jakarta Presidential Palace some time ago.
Until now, President Jokowi has issued Presidential Regulation Number 13 of 2023 concerning Financial Rights and Other Facilities for Heads and Deputy Heads of the Archipelago Capital Authority.
In the policy regulation, Jokowi regulates the head of the IKN Authority to receive an income of IDR 172.71 million per month and his deputy IDR 155.18 million per month.
