WASHINGTON, June 26 (Reuters) – U.S. President Joe Biden said on Monday the brief uprising by the paramilitary group Wagner on Saturday was part of an internal Russian power struggle and that the United States and its allies were in no way involved in these events.
“We made it clear that we weren’t involved, that we had nothing to do with it,” Joe Biden said in his first official comments on the weekend’s events in Russia.
