President Joe Biden congratulated women around the world on Mother’s Day.
“Moms all over the world, I congratulate you on Mother’s Day,” he previously wrote on the X network.
The day before, a proclamation on the occasion of Mother’s Day was posted on the White House website.
“Today, we express our gratitude to mothers for their unconditional love for their children; for raising them with care, courage and firmness; for being guided by the power of their example,” it is said in proclamation White House.
President Biden noted that across the country, mothers are raising children, taking care of families and making history.
“Mothers are leaders everywhere—from Main Street to Wall Street, they drive innovation and strengthen our economy. They are the health care heroes, the military and public servants who sacrifice so much for us all. They are artists, journalists , engineers and scientists who are creating new opportunities,” the White House said in a statement.
Biden noted that mothers are working at the highest levels of his administration “to open the doors of opportunity wider for the next generation.”
