(ANSA) – ROME, OCTOBER 27 – The president of Georgia, <a href="http://www.world-today-news.com/georgias-complaint-to-russia-it-accuses-it-of-appropriation-of-territories/" title="Georgia's complaint to Russia: it accuses it of appropriation of territories”>Salomé Zourabichvili, has refused to recognize the result of the recent parliamentary elections, which she defined as ‘totally falsified’. He then called the population to a mass demonstration tomorrow, in the context of an election result hotly contested between pro-Russians and pro-Europeans. Zurabishvili also denounced, in a note, episodes of violence at polling stations during yesterday’s parliamentary elections. “I want to highlight deeply troubling incidents of violence that have occurred at various polling stations,” he said after footage showing physical clashes at several polling stations circulated on social media. Finally, Zurabishvili accused Russia of being behind the reported “election fraud” in Georgia, saying that his country had become the victim of a “Russian special operation.” “We are witnesses and victims of a Russian special operation, a modern form of hybrid warfare against the Georgian people,” he said.
