Malacañang has not yet released a comprehensive list of the delegation members joining President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on his trip to Washington DC. The President will be joined by Foreign Secretary Enrique Manalo and several Cabinet members in his engagements. The official visit will focus on economy and defense, and members of the economic and defense clusters of the Cabinet are expected to be part of the delegation. First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos is also expected to accompany the President, while it remains unclear if their sons will be joining them. In the past, the President’s adult sons have accompanied him on official trips, including the September 2022 working visit to the US. Additionally, business leaders will be flying to DC for the official visit, though their names have not yet been disclosed by the Palace or the Department of Foreign Affairs. Sabine Aboitiz, Marcos’ friend who heads the Private Sector Advisory Council, led the business delegation during the President’s first visit to the US in September 2022.
