The President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron is going to Côte-d’Or this Friday, September 15. On the agenda: heritage maintenance in municipalities with less than 10,000 inhabitants, on the eve of the European Heritage Days.
The President of the Republic is in Semur-en-Auxois and Bussy-Rabutin in Côte-d’Or. A trip to take an interest in heritage in rural areas, on the eve of the 40th European Heritage Days.

He is accompanied by the First Lady, Brigitte Macron. Stéphane Bern is present. In 2017, Emmanuel Macron entrusted him with a task: establishing a list of French heritage monuments. To save them, a lottery is organized to raise funds. Six years later, “Mission Patrimoine” is still working to promote national heritage.
The President of the Republic is also accompanied by several ministers. The Minister Delegate for Disabled People Fadila Khattabi is present, former MP for Côte-d’Or between 2017 and 2023.
The procession will arrive around noon in Semur-en-Auxois for a first visit to the Notre-Dame collegiate church. He will go at 3 p.m. to the Château de Bussy-Rabutin, 20 kilometers from Samur-en-Auxois. This monument is one of the many successes of the “heritage mission”, since it was renovated thanks to funds raised by the Heritage Loto.
This is the third time in two years that Emmanuel Macron has visited Côte-d’Or. In 2022, he went to Dijon as part of his presidential campaign. He returned in November for a visit to the Longvic gendarmerie school and the judicial city.

Traffic will be strongly impacted in Semur-en-Auxois, with several areas where parking and driving will be prohibited. For pedestrians, certain areas will also be prohibited, or limited.
