President Draupadi Murmu Presents 69th National Film Awards: ‘Home’ Wins Best Malayalam Film

New Delhi> President Draupadi Murmu presented the 69th National Film Awards in Delhi. The award was distributed in 31 categories in the feature film category and 23 categories in the non-feature category. ‘Home’ won the award for the best Malayalam film. Best Actor (Pushpa) is Telugu superstar Allu Arjun. Alia Bhatt (Gangubhai Kathyawadi) and Kriti Sanon (Mimi) shared the actress award. The best director is Nikhil Mahajan who made the Marathi film ‘Godavari’. Malayalam cinema won eight major awards including Jury’s Special Mention for Indran’s performance in the movie ‘Home’. Malayalee Shahi Kabir won the best screenplay award for the film Nayat. Vishnu Mohan won the Indira Gandhi Award for the best debut director for the film ‘Mepadiyaan’. The best Malayalam film is ‘Home’ directed by Rojin Thomas. Malayalam won two awards in the non-feature category. Third Curve was selected as the best environmental film. The third bend is produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sri Gokulam Films. The third curve was selected for the award with the unequivocal praise of the jury. Gokulam Gopalan received the award from President Draupadi Murmu. In the non-feature category, the best animated film went to the film ‘Kandaharsha’ directed by Malayalee Athi Krishnadas.
