President Biden’s Visit to Manhattan Causes Traffic Congestion: Details on Campaign Meeting and Future Plans

NEW YORK — President Biden visited New York City on Monday, causing congestion in some areas of Manhattan.

The president will be in Manhattan throughout the afternoon for what his White House agenda calls a campaign meeting.

The president was in town earlier this month for a series of campaign events, snarling traffic and sparking some protests in the city.

Biden arrived at JFK Airport before heading to Manhattan around 2 p.m. and is expected to depart for DC around 7 p.m.

Our sister network’s team posted on X: “President Biden is in town today. Expect delays, detours and closures throughout New York, but especially in Lower Manhattan and Midtown.”

Biden’s visit comes nearly three weeks after his last trip to the city. Blocks of interlocking bike racks cleared the roads for Biden’s motorcade as she hosted three fundraisers in four hours.

For all those Manhattan residents stuck on closed streets, Biden plans to return to New York to make a bigger splash on March 28. She will partner for another fundraiser in the city with former Democratic presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.
