A car crashed into a parked jeep that is part of the security of US President Joe Biden’s motorcade while the head of state was leaving his campaign headquarters in the city of Wilmington, Delaware, the Associated Press reported. He and first lady Jill Biden are unharmed.

The Secret Service Jeep used to block an intersection in the area of Biden’s headquarters was hit by a sedan as the president headed toward a waiting armored car, an eyewitness to the incident said. After the collision, the sedan attempted to continue down the closed intersection, but Secret Service agents surrounded it with guns drawn and ordered the driver out of the vehicle with his hands up.
Biden was put into a waiting armored car, where his wife was already. The incident did not affect the American president’s schedule. So far, the “Secret Service” has not commented on the accident.
