President Biden Requests $106 Billion for Security Measures Amid Congressional Paralysis

US President Joe Biden on Friday requested nearly 106 billion dollars for the implementation of security measures, but the paralysis of Congress, caused by the impeachment of the speaker, prevents the immediate approval of the planned spending.

The total amount of spending, which reaches 105.85 billion dollars, provides, among other things, 61 billion for military aid to Ukraine and 14 billion for military support for Israel.

In his speech from the Oval Office of the White House, Biden emphasized that these expenditures will ensure the interests of the United States for generations to come.

$6.4 billion to address the illegal immigration crisis on the border with Mexico. Another seven billion is earmarked for deterring China and strengthening US allies in the Asia-Pacific region, and nine billion for humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, Ukraine and Israel.

In the massive funding request, the White House has sought to combine increasingly popular support for Ukraine with aid to Israel, which enjoys broad bipartisan support.
