President Biden Holds Talks with UK Leaders and Meets King Charles III on NATO Trip

London: The U.S. arrived in Britain on the way to the NATO leadership meeting. President Joe Biden held talks with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and King Charles III.

Biden arrived in London late on Sunday night. He had a 40-minute meeting with Sunak on Monday. The two leaders agreed to strengthen the alliance between the two countries and to continue supporting Ukraine in its war with Russia. Sunak’s office said that the financial relationship was also discussed. U.S. to Ukraine Objection to the provision of cluster bombs was not reflected in the discussion.

Afterwards, Biden met King Charles at Windsor Castle. The King welcomed Biden with a band of Welsh Guards. Both discussed climate change. Britain’s energy security minister Grant Shapps and Biden’s special envoy for climate affairs, John Kerry, attended the meeting.

This is the first meeting between the two since Charles became King. From here, Biden went to Finland, a new member of NATO. From there he traveled to Vilnius, Lithuania for the summit. Summit is on Tuesday and Wednesday.
