President United States of America Joe Biden says there may not be a ceasefire in Gazaeven though nearly tens of thousands of civilians died as a result of the attacks Israel.

Biden’s comments responded to questions from media crew about the possibility of a ceasefire in Gaza.

“None. There is no possibility,” said Biden as he left the White House to travel to Illinois on Thursday (9/10), quoted Anadolu Agency.

When asked if he had any new information regarding the hostage release, Biden responded enthusiastically.

“Still optimistic,” said Biden.

The media crew also asked questions about what message Biden wanted to convey to the families held hostage in Gaza.

“We will not stop until we get them out,” he said.

Biden’s statement came after US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken rejected the ceasefire because it was considered to only benefit Hamas.

Gaza was in the spotlight after Israeli troops launched an aggression into the region on October 7. They also declared war with Hamas.

Not long after that, Israel completely blockaded the Gaza Strip, making it difficult for humanitarian aid to enter the region.

Although the situation in Gaza is very critical, humanitarian assistance is very limited and calls for a ceasefire have not materialized.

As of Thursday (9/11), the Gaza Ministry of Health reported that 10,790 Palestinians had died as a result of Israeli attacks in Gaza, of which 4,412 were children and 2,918 were women.

Meanwhile, as many as 26,475 other people were injured as a result of Israel’s attacks on Gaza since 7 October. There are still 2,550 people, including 1,350 children, missing in Gaza.
