President Andrzej Duda to visit flood victims. “I do not want to disrupt rescue efforts”

The visit “will be carried out in such a way as not to interfere with the work of the services, so as not to disrupt rescue operations. We are in contact with the government on this matter,” we read in the BBN statement on the X platform.

Collection of the President’s Office for flood victims

As reported by the Chancellery of the President, a transport with humanitarian aid for residents of southern Poland affected by flooding has arrived in Bystrzyca Kłodzka and Lądek-Zdrój (Lower Silesia Province). At the initiative of President Andrzej Duda and First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda, a collection of donations was carried out, in which it was possible to collect almost 18 tons, including water, food, personal hygiene products, household chemicals, pet food and bedding.

“The aid provided by the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland will also be allocated to the residents of the neighbouring commune – Stronie Śląskie, who suffered as a result of the disaster and lost their life’s possessions” – we read on the president’s website.

President Andrzej Duda’s appeal for help for flood victims

Andrzej Duda also asked for solidarity and support for the inhabitants of southwestern Poland who were affected by the flood.
