The bad weather conditions, also according to the forecast for the weekend, have led the Regional Committee, in agreement with the provincial and district delegations, to suspend, until Sunday 20 October, all men’s and women’s 11-a-side football matches in own competence: i.e. from the Very Juniors up to the Excellence.

Therefore, starting from today, Friday 18 October, and until Sunday morning, no matches will be played in the following championships (regional and provincial activities): Youth U.14-15, Students, Juniores, Third Category, Second Category, First Category, Promotion and Excellence. The motivation is to «Preserve the physical integrity of the athletes, managers and referees and to protect the playing fields». The meetings scheduled for Sunday afternoon (normally from the Third Category up to Excellence) could therefore take place regularly.
The Regional Committee also specifies that all advance requests are canceled and the revised tenders will be postponed to a date to be defined. Finally, the committee reserves the right to communicate any other decisions tomorrow, Saturday 19 October.
The risk therefore is that the general suspension could be extended to include all the matches scheduled for Sunday afternoon, but indications from the individual Delegations will be awaited.
