Presenter’s Car Stolen by Personal Driver: Mitsubishi Xpander Found in Banten Area

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The police managed to find the Mitsubishi Xpander car that Ferdy (54), the presenter’s personal driver, had taken away Caren Delanosome time ago.

Setiabudi Metro Police Chief Commissioner Arif Purnama Oktora stated that the car with plate number B 1625 DFF was found in the Banten area.

“Initially the team received information that the car was in the Balaraja area, Tangerang Regency, Banten,” he said at a press conference, Friday (6/10/2023).

“Furthermore, a raid was carried out (in Balaraja) and we succeeded in confiscating a Mitsubishi Xpander vehicle belonging to Caren Delano’s brother on October 4 2023,” he continued.

Arif explained that the car was able to stop in the Balaraja area because it had been sold by the main perpetrator previously.

Ferdy is said to have sold the Mitsubishi Xpander through two intermediaries with the initials MJ and H.

“The car was then bought by the perpetrators with the initials A and TZ, whose status is still at large for IDR 50 million,” he added.

For information, driver Caren Delano was previously reported to the police after taking away a car.

Ferdy is said to have taken Caren’s Mitsubishi Xpander car away from an apartment in the Setiabudi area, South Jakarta, Wednesday (27/9/2023) at around 16.30 WIB.

“We have received a report of car embezzlement allegedly carried out by Caren Delano’s private driver. The report was received on Thursday, September 28 2023, at 17.15 WIB,” said Setiabudi Metro Police Chief Commissioner Arif Purnama Oktora in a release received Kompas.comFriday (29/9/2023).

Arif explained that this incident started when Ferdy asked Caren for permission to wash the car on Wednesday afternoon.

Not long after, Ferdy then informed his employer that an unknown person had broken into the boarding house.

He then asked Caren for permission to check the boarding house he was staying in using a Mitsubishi Xpander.

“So Ferdy still has time to deliver Caren shooting in the Mampang Prapatan area and fitness in the SCBD area on Wednesday morning,” said Arif.

“After taking Caren to the apartment, he asked permission to wash the vehicle on Wednesday afternoon. Not long after that, while he was washing the vehicle, Ferdy reported to Caren that the door to his boarding house had been broken into and he was allowed to go home because of that,” he continued.

However, after asking permission to check his boarding house, Ferdy said he had no news.

Caren has a schedule shooting on Wednesday afternoon he contacted his private driver repeatedly, but he didn’t pick up.

“The person concerned tried to contact Ferdy via WhatsApp because there was a shooting, but Ferdy never replied to his message and there is no answer until now,” said Arif.

Due to this incident, Arif said the victim suffered hundreds of millions in losses.
