British presenter Piers Morgan has left the program immediately Good Morning Britain. Morgan walked out on a broadcast this morning when his comments about Meghan Markle were criticized by a co-host. Later he left permanently.
Yesterday, Morgan criticized Oprah Winfrey’s interview with the British Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle. Markle said in that conversation that she had had suicidal thoughts and had received no help from the British royal family. Morgan questioned these statements, saying he “didn’t believe a word from Markle.” Those comments drew a lot of criticism from the British public: 41,000 people filed a complaint with the British media watchdog Ofcom.
