Caroline Flack, presenter of the British dating program Love island died on Saturday at the age of 40. Her family confirmed her death on Saturday, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
“We can confirm that Caroline died on February 15,” says Flack’s family statement. “We ask the press to respect the privacy of her family during this difficult period.”
According to various media, the British death was found in her apartment. A cause of death was not disclosed.
Flack presented Love island from 2015 to 2019. After an accusation she denied having abused her friend Lewis Burton, she stopped presenting the program, which was shown in the Netherlands on RTL 5 and Videoland.
In November, RTL announced that it would temporarily stop using reality programs such as Love island. The channel decided to do this after sexually exceeding behavior in a reality show The Villa.
