Already winner of the 2019 edition, Théo Guidicelli once again dictated the law in this 7th edition of the Spassighjata finishing in 35 minutes and 47 seconds, closely followed by the young Kamel El Azouzi, resident of the AJB. After two years of absence, the city tour of Bastia kept his promises.
If they were less numerous than in previous editions, due to the very tight deadlines left to the organizers of the event, almost 800 runners showed up for this 7And edition of the Spassighjata of Bastia. In front of the old town hall, under the starting arch, but also the finishing arch, the runners wanted to discover the new route set up by the Mantinum association, to exploit, in particular, the Aldilonda and the Spassimare.
And it was better not to be late, because the runners did not drag. In 35 minutes and 47 seconds Théo Guidicielli won brilliantly, as in 2019. Close behind are Kamel El Azouzi and Guillaume Perretti, who completed the podium. A very satisfying victory for the titular athletics course of the Pays de Fontainebleau.
The champion went into overdrive late in the race to secure the gold medal. And that was for the better, because the battle was raging behind it. In second place the young Kamel El Azouzi, author of a great race. With a time of 36 minutes and 39 seconds, the 16-year-old took part in the Spassighjata for the first time.
Finally, note the splendid women’s podium with Marjorie Thomas in front of Emmanuelle Moracchini and Virginie Bette, the three athletes who almost reached the finish line of 45And minute, with only 26 seconds difference!
