Presentation of wishes to the Prime Minister: several challenges raised – AGP

Libreville, January 9, 2024 (AGP) – The Prime Minister of the Transition, Raymond Ndong Sima, received this Tuesday in Libreville, the wishes of members of the government and the public administration, through the voices of the Secretary General of the Government and the Minister of Reform of the institutions who mentioned various challenges to be taken up for the coming months.

«Among these challenges, we can notably mention, in addition to meeting the priority expectations of our populations, the implementation of the Transition timeline which will be marked by the organization of the national dialogue, the referendum for the adoption of the future constitution, securing our borders and our cities», indicated the Minister of Institutional Reform, Murielle Minkoue married Mintsa in her circumstantial speech.

She also mentioned the socio-economic challenges to be met, among others, the construction of social housing, the purchase of the Assala Energy company, the establishment of the justice symposium, the establishment of an education system responding to the current issues in Gabon, the promotion of culture and the Gabonese destination.

The head of the department responsible for Institutional Reform also returned to the materialization of the actions carried out by the Transition government in four months. These include, in particular, repayment of the debt, the collection of contributions with a view to the organization of the national dialogue, the launch of road works in several localities, the lifting of the recruitment freeze, advancements and reclassifications of public agents, the Gabonization of artisans in the mining sector.

“Strengthening the coordination of government work is a steering tool to be implemented,” underlined the member of the government. Exhorting his colleagues for cohesion in order to adjust policies to the needs of the populations.

For his part, the Secretary General of the Government, Jonas Prosper Lola Mvou drew the Prime Minister’s attention to issues relating to the linking of retirement pensions to the New Remuneration System (NSR), payment reminders for retirees, the payment of compensation for services rendered to agents who have served the State.

«We must give them the desire to have confidence in the administration that they have served these many years at the cost of many sacrifices. Furthermore, it seems appropriate to me to raise the issue relating to the payment of compensation for services rendered» he noted.
