On March 14, at 5:30 p.m., we invite you to the Alytus Jurgis Kunčinas public library (Seiriju st. 2). Here we will present the book “100 First Days of War” by Ernest Kuckailis, a soldier of the Lithuanian army and the author of books about the history of Lithuanian warfare.
Russian-Ukrainian war. Is it really only Russian and Ukrainian?
A kind of yearbook of the first hundred days of the war, made up of phone screen photos with images, texts and emotions from the events that tore the country of Ukraine from peace. The book also includes comments from famous people about this war, as well as QR codes that link to video footage from the defense of Kyiv, Sumy and other places.
The publication “The First 100 Days of the War” does not contain in-depth analysis – only events, statistics and comments that will allow readers to better understand the courage and perseverance of the Ukrainian people in the fight for freedom and independence. What happened during the first three months of the invasion of Ukraine. Lest we forget. And we would not get used to the war, which seems to be taking place (yet) not in our backyard, but affects us all in one way or another.
The representatives of the publishing house “Vox Altera”, the head of the search and identification department of the Genocide and Resistance Research Center of the Lithuanian population will also participate in the book reception. special Valdas Šukevičius, fourth-year student Giedrius Balinskas of the VU Institute of International Relations Political Sciences, will be entertained by the bard Romas Naidzinavičius with musical interludes. We invite you to participate!
Great news for those who cannot attend – we will broadcast the event live on our Facebook page Alytus Jurgis Kunčinas Public Library.
The book was published by Vox Altera. It will be available for purchase during the event.
