Ivory Coast is preparing to vibrate to the rhythm of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in several modern and historic stadiums, each ready to host intense matches. Here is an overview of the six stadiums which will serve as the theater for clashes throughout the competition.
Alassane Ouattara Olympic Stadium, Ébimpé
Located in Anyama, a suburb of Abidjan, this 60,000-seat stadium is the result of Ivorian-Chinese cooperation. It offers a natural grass pitch and all the amenities necessary for high-level competitions. It will host Group A and B matches.
Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny, Plateau
In the heart of Abidjan, this emblematic 29,000-seat stadium, formerly known as Stade Géo André, has been renovated for CAN 2023. With its four covered stands, it will be the meeting place for Groups A and b.
Peace Stadium, Bouaké
Formerly built for the 1984 CAN, this stadium has seen its capacity increase from 25,000 to 40,000 seats since its renovation. Located in Bouaké, it will host matches from Groups C and D.
Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium, Korhogo
Meeting international standards, this stadium with 20,000 seats will host Group E matches. It is equipped with covered stands and a natural grass playing area.
Stade Laurent Pokou, San Pedro
Nestled in the Poro district of San Pedro, this 20,000-seat stadium, also on natural grass, will be the scene of Group F matches.
Stade Charles Konan Banny, Yamoussoukro
With a capacity of 20,000 seats and a natural grass pitch, this stadium, located in the political capital of Ivory Coast, will also host Group C matches.
