Vítkovice Hockey Team Begins Preparations for the Upcoming Season
The Vítkovice hockey team has gathered for their first training session ahead of the upcoming season. Head coach Miloš Hola expressed his satisfaction with the team’s attendance, stating that everyone was present except for Mueller, who is currently not training on the ice. Hola emphasized the importance of training together as a team and expressed his optimism about the new players joining the squad.
“We have new players, and it’s important to bring them together with the team. It will make us stronger. I’m glad that the players have embraced this idea,” Hola said.

“We want to dedicate a significant portion of our training to conditioning during this period, as we will have fewer opportunities later on,” Hola explained.
The Vítkovice players, including the new signings Valentin Claireaux, Stuart Percy, Matěj Machovský, Jan Ka, and Vojtěch Zelený, all wore their training jerseys for the first time. The team’s captain, Dominik Lakatoš, and Latvian forward Roberts Bukarts, had a chance to catch up in the locker room. American players Peter Krieger and Willie Raskob also joined the training session.
Jan Ka, who recently joined the team from Olomouc, expressed his excitement about the new challenge. “There are a lot of guys who speak English. I’ll have to get used to it because my English isn’t that great. I’ll try to listen and learn from others,” he said.
Ka also mentioned that the training intensity was different from what he experienced in Olomouc. ”We’re doing some exercises, so I can’t compare it to Olomouc yet. But I can assure you that the training sessions will be of high quality. The team’s level will be excellent. Last season, the guys fought for the finals, so this team will be great,” he added.
Coach Hola intends to push the team to their limits and start from scratch. “We’re starting from zero, but with hard work, we can achieve something. We will distance ourselves from the daily routine and focus on rigorous training,” Hola concluded.
