Preschool education: Azito thermal power plant offers educational kits to kindergarten children

Parents of toddlers from the Early Childhood Protection Center (Cppe) Djako Djoman in the village of Azito, in the commune of Yopougon, will not have much to buy at the start of the 2021-2022 school year. The managers of Azito Opération & Maintenance (Azito O&M), the operating company of the waterfront power station in the village, recently, on the occasion of the establishment’s end-of-year celebration, donated didactic kits for young learners, especially those from the large section authorized to register for Cp1 at the start of the next school year. The ceremony took place against a background of awareness of the risks of Covid-19.

The event also gave rise to the official delivery of extension works produced by Azito O&M. Among other things, two classrooms, an office and a ventilation room. The head of the production department of Azito O&M, Jean-Charles Djinou, who represented the general manager Honorat Boua, sponsor of the outgoing promotion, said the company’s commitment to supporting the school learning of Azito’s children.

“The ambition of Azito O&M and its first manager Honorat Boua is to make this maternal establishment a benchmark structure in Côte d’Ivoire. We are sensitive to issues of education, health and empowerment of social strata. This is why we make sure to offer the conditions for quality learning to our little ones in Azito village, ”said Jean-Charles Djinou.

The Abidjan regional director of the Ministry of Women, Family and Children, Mariam Diaby, welcomed the constant support of the power station to the populations of Azito. It reflected the recognition and thanks of Minister Nassénéba Touré to the company Azito O&M for its actions of high social significance for the benefit of the children and women of the host village.

The toddlers of Cppe Djako Djoman have, in addition to paying tribute to their godfather, highlighted the achievements of their learning. This, through recitations, theatrical performances, ballets and a parade.
