KONTAN.CO.ID – WASHINGTON. US President Donald Trump said he would leave the military hospital where he was being treated for Covid-19 on Monday evening. He urged everyone not to be afraid of the disease, which has killed more than a million people worldwide and wreaked havoc on the economy.

Quoting ReutersDespite the wave of coronavirus infections that have swept the White House four weeks before the US presidential election, Trump said he feels well and will leave hospital in the afternoon after a three-day stay.

“I’ll be leaving Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 PM Feeling so good! Don’t be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great medicine & knowledge. I feel better than I was 20 years ago! “He said on Twitter as reported Reuters.

Trump has no respiratory complaints, but Conley said he “may not be completely out of trouble.” He added that the president will be surrounded by world-class medical care around the clock in the White House.

Sources with knowledge of the situation told Reuters Trump was reluctant to go to hospital last week and is anxious to be discharged by Monday morning.

Even if he was discharged, he still needed to continue treatment because he was still on the intravenous antiviral treatment, remdesivir for five days. The normal quarantine period for anyone who tests positive for the new coronavirus is 14 days.
