Prepare money! Toyota plans to sell bZ4X to Indonesian general consumers

The Toyota bZ4X was unveiled to the Indonesian people at the 2022 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) last August. But at the time this car was not being sold to general consumers. In the future, Toyota plans to sell this car to general consumers.

Pending the official launch of the bZ4X in Indonesia, PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) has lent 41 units of the bZ4X to the government to support the big event of the Bali G20 Summit in November 2022.

The SUV-style electric car will accompany 102 units of the Lexus UX 300e that Toyota also loaned to serve ministerial-level state delegates at the Bali G20 Summit.

Well, there is good news for Indonesian consumers who want to buy the car, because Toyota plans to market the bZ4X to buyers in the country.

“Obviously the bZ4X is one of the BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) models we have planned for us to introduce in Indonesia. We will pass on details of when and others will be separated following to the media, ”said TAM’s vice president director Henry Tanoto in Jakarta (19/10/2022).

For information, the Toyota bZ4X is an electric car that is the result of Toyota’s collaboration with Subaru. This car uses the e-TNGA platform designed for Toyota electric vehicles.

On paper, this electric car is equipped with a 355 Volt lithium-ion battery, with a capacity of 71.4 kWh. The battery is buried under the floor and has a temperature controller for efficiency.

Once fully charged, this electric car can reach a distance of up to 500km for the FWD type and 460km for the AWD type. The battery supports AC charging up to 6.6kW and DC charging up to 150kW. With a DC charging system, it can charge up to 80 percent in just 30 minutes.
