“It was the first match in a new cycle, which reflected a little on our cooperation and teamwork,” claimed national team coach Jan Suchopárek, according to whom the Czech Lions initially lacked precision. “Because of that, we didn’t have very good combinations. We also lagged behind in movement without the ball. Nevertheless, we created two chances in the first half,” Matěje Juráska recalled the missed shooting opportunities.
During the break, he changed eight players. “So we planned it in advance. Right after the break, we scored the leading goal after a successful action and gained confidence. At 2:0, the opponent threatened us several times, but our defense coped with his dangerous actions. The end of the match was under control again, but we lacked a better final solution. Except for Fila, who was heading for the crossbar,” Suchopárek assessed the match.

The joy of the Czech twenty-one team in the preparatory match against Slovakia.
Overall, he is satisfied with the match. “He showed us a lot of things we wanted to know. Right after the final whistle, I told the boys in the booth that the players who are currently in the best form will start in Iceland. From who played against Slovakia in the first half and who played in the second half, nothing can be deduced,” says the coach.
However, Suchopárek is clear about the number one goalkeeper. Young Czech footballers will enter the qualifying group for the European Championship with goalkeeper Horníček, who completed the entire match in Hradiště. “We decided on him, despite the fact that he hasn’t caught in the club for a long time,” he said.
Spartan Karabec, who had been struggling with health problems in the past period and joined the national team only three days after the start of the meeting, also appeared somewhat unplanned at the end of the match on the Hradišť lawn. “He had to go on the field for an indisposed Kabong. He has already cured the virus, he should be ready for Iceland,” said Suchopárka.

There was a great atmosphere in Uherské Hradiště.
He immediately emphasized to his charges that they must immediately switch their minds to the match in Iceland, the result of which can be extremely important for the development of the qualifying group for the European Championship. “It will be played on artificial grass, which we will now adapt to the preparation. We will stay in Zlín until the weekend. After the Sunday morning training, we will go to Vienna, from where we will fly to Keflavík,” coach Lvíčat outlined his team’s upcoming schedule.
