On Saturday,February 22nd,the ANB Arena in Riyadh will host The Last crescendo,a star-studded event featuring some of the biggest names in boxing. The highlight of the evening will be the highly anticipated rematch between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol for the absolute world light heavyweight championship title. The two champions last faced off in October 2024 during the opening of the Riyadh Season, where Beterbiev emerged victorious with a majority decision. Beterbiev, who remains undefeated, has been diligently preparing for this fight. “My training camp is going well, and I’m doing my best to prepare in the best way possible,” he said during a press conference held at the Outernet Hall in London.
Bivol, on the other hand, is determined to reclaim his glory. “I am focused on the February 22 fight,” he stated, expressing gratitude to Advisor Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), and the organizers of the Riyadh Season. “I will come to Saudi Arabia to achieve my destiny,” he added.
The event will also feature a heavyweight showdown between Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker. Dubois, the International Boxing Federation heavyweight world champion, is eager to defend his title after his stunning knockout victory over Anthony Joshua in September 2024. “this year will be the year of proving my worth as the best heavyweight boxer,” dubois declared. Parker, a former World Boxing Organization champion, is equally prepared. “I am in the best physical and mental condition of my life,” he said, crediting his coaches Andy Lee and George Lockhart for his rigorous planning.
