“We are preparing for a new summit of our Crimean Platform – the parliamentary level of the Crimean Platform. The number of participants is very serious,” he said.
According to Zelensky, the summit will take place in the Czech Republic.
“I am grateful to everyone in the world who has joined and is ready to work with us at the level of parliamentary diplomacy for security, for peace throughout Europe, without any exceptions for any part of our continent,” he added.
Crimean Platform Summit
The Crimean Platform is an initiative of the Ukrainian government, which is aimed at mainstreaming the issue of de-occupation of the peninsula on the international agenda.
The first summit took place back in 2021, when a joint declaration of the participants of the Crimean Platform was adopted. Representatives from 43 countries took part in the meeting.
The main goal of the Crimean Platform is to consolidate international efforts for the de-occupation of Crimea, protect the rights and freedoms of the population of the peninsula, as well as strengthen security in Europe and at the global level.
